At approximately 5:58 p.m. on April 30, police were dispatched to the report of a dispute. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside his residence when he heard a noise and observed the female suspect, who is known to him, allegedly attempting to enter through a window. The victim confronted the suspect during which a struggle ensued, and the suspect struck the victim with a rock, brandished a knife and attempted to strike him with it. The victim briefly left to seek assistance, and the suspect made entry into the home and took electronics and food items before leaving the residence. Responding officers located the suspect in the area and took her into custody. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Janae Lancaster, 24, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Attempted Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Assault Battery and Burglary. She was held without bond.
