An attempted burglary at an unoccupied residence was discovered by Arlington County police while officers were handling an unrelated call nearby.
Police said officers noticed signs of a possible attempted break-in on July 25 and returned the following day to conduct a more thorough investigation.
Investigators determined that someone attempted to gain entry into the residence sometime between approximately noon on July 24 and 8:51 a.m. on July 26 before leaving the area.
No suspects have been identified, and no descriptions are available.
The investigation remains ongoing.
