At approximately 12:39 a.m. on August 31, police were dispatched to the report of a suspect with a weapon. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was outside of a business when the male suspect approached and engaged them in conversation. The victim then briefly walked away when the suspect produced a knife and began chasing the victim outside of the business while making threatening statements. An employee confronted the suspect before he fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’10”, approximately 160 pounds, wearing a black short-sleeved t-shirt and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
