At approximately 3:22 p.m. on December 23, police were dispatched to the report of a fight. Upon arrival, it was determined the female suspect and Victim One, who are known to each other, were outside when they became involved in a verbal dispute that escalated to a physical altercation during which the suspect brandished a knife. The suspect attempted to assault Victim One with the knife when Victim Two, intervened and was struck by the knife, causing a laceration. Responding officers located the suspect in the area and took her into custody. Both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and refused medical attention. The female suspect was transported to an area hospital for evaluation. Janae Lancaster, 25, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding. She was held without bond.
