At approximately 7:54 p.m. on June 25, police were dispatched to the report of an assault in progress. The preliminary investigation indicates the male victim and suspect were outside when they became engaged in a verbal dispute during which the suspect allegedly threatened the victim, threw a rock towards him and attempted to steal his personal belongings. Responding officers took the suspect into custody on scene. Daniel Silva, 35, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding, Attempted Robbery and Drunk in Public.
