At approximately 5:53 p.m. on February 1, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business and concealed merchandise in a backpack during which he was confronted by an employee. A struggle ensued over the backpack and the suspect struck the employee before exiting the store and fleeing the scene without the items. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’7” and wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
