At approximately 10:54 p.m. on April 22, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival it was determined the male suspect entered the business and began concealing merchandise in a bag when he was confronted by an employee. The suspect then attempted to strike the employee and made threatening statements before fleeing the scene on foot without the merchandise. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a short Black male, approximately 40 years old with a beard, wearing a blue puffer jacket, grey pants and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
