At approximately 4:04 p.m. on September 22, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. The preliminary investigation indicates the male victim, who was operating as a tow truck driver, and the male suspect became involved in a verbal dispute over towing a vehicle during which the suspect allegedly brandished a firearm before fleeing the scene in his vehicle. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers observed the suspect vehicle travelling westbound on Columbia Pike, conducted a traffic stop and detained the suspect. During the course of the investigation, two firearms were recovered. Bryan Ramirez Orellana, 28, of Sterling, VA, was arrested and charged with Brandishing and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
