At approximately 11:58 a.m. on May 4, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person with a knife. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was entering a residential building when the male suspect allegedly followed her inside. The victim then alerted an employee who asked the suspect to leave. The suspect then exited the building and brandished a machete before fleeing the scene. Responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area of Washington Boulevard and N. Kirkwood Road and took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, a machete was recovered. Batbold Saikhanbayar, 33, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Brandishing a Machete and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. He was held without bond.
