Police are investigating a violent assault and robbery that occurred late in the evening on September 16 near 13th Street S. and S. Eads Street. According to authorities, a man was walking in the area around 10:00 p.m. when he was approached by three unknown males who began speaking with him.
The conversation quickly turned into a violent encounter when the suspects allegedly struck the victim with a metal object and stole his jewelry before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained serious injuries and sought treatment on his own at a local hospital.
The incident was not reported to police until two days later, on September 18, around 7:46 p.m.
Police describe the suspects as three Hispanic males, all approximately 25 years old. One suspect is described as heavy-set, around 6 feet 1 inch tall, and was wearing a black sweatshirt and sweatpants. The other two suspects are described as having thin builds, standing about 5 feet 11 inches tall, and wearing t-shirts and sweatpants.
The Arlington County Police Department continues to investigate the case and urges anyone with information to come forward.
