At approximately 3:18 a.m. on May 29, police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Wilson Boulevard for late report of a burglary just discovered. It was determined at approximately 2:26 a.m., the suspects forced entry into three closed businesses in the area by breaking glass doors, stole cash registers and an undisclosed amount of cash and subsequently fled the scene. Later on May 29, officers were dispatched to investigate three additional late reports of burglaries that occurred during the overnight hours in the 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard (3 businesses), 2200 block of Clarendon Boulevard (1 business) and the 1700 block of N. Lynn Street (1 business) in which the suspects forced entry into five closed businesses by shattering glass doors and stole a safe and cash drawers/boxes containing an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene. The suspects from each of the incidents are described as approximately two to three unknown race males wearing all black and face coverings. The investigation is ongoing.
