Police are investigating a residential burglary after a homeowner reported a break-in on the afternoon of Aug. 1.
According to investigators, the resident was inside the home when she heard a loud noise. After checking the source, she allegedly saw a suspect attempting to force entry through a window.
The victim left the residence, and responding officers established a perimeter before searching the home. The suspect was not located.
Police say jewelry and other household items were reported stolen during the incident. No description of the suspect has been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
