A daytime burglary disrupted a quiet Arlington neighborhood on January 6 after a male suspect forced entry into an unoccupied home on the 2500 block of McKinley Street. The break-in occurred around 12:04 p.m., prompting a police response following a 911 call from the homeowner.
According to Arlington Police, the suspect entered the residence while the male victim was away, rummaged through the home, and stole jewelry. The victim reportedly arrived home while the suspect was still inside, prompting the burglar to flee the scene on foot.
Police responded quickly, establishing a perimeter and canvassing the surrounding area; however, the suspect was not located. He is described as a Black male between 25 and 36 years old, standing approximately 5’8” to 6’0” tall, and was last seen wearing a dark-colored beanie and jacket.
The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities urge anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to contact Arlington Police.
