Police obtained multiple warrants after a man allegedly entered the home of a woman he knew, interfered with her attempt to call 911 and smashed windows before leaving.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of N. Kenilworth Street for a reported dispute. Police determined the woman was inside her residence when the suspect allegedly entered.
When the victim confronted him and attempted to call 911, the suspect allegedly grabbed her phone. The woman then pushed him out of the apartment, after which he allegedly smashed her windows and fled.
No injuries were reported.
Police identified the suspect during their investigation and obtained warrants for burglary, assault and battery, destruction of property and preventing a 911 call.
