At approximately 3:08 a.m. on May 17, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with a weapon. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside his parked vehicle with the windows down outside a business when the female suspect and male suspect approached. The suspects reached into the vehicle, grabbed the victim and demanded cash before they displayed firearms and struck the victim with them. The victim then exited the vehicle before the suspects entered his vehicle and fled the scene. The victim sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The female suspect is described as a heavy-set Black female, approximately 5’6”-5’8”, wearing all black clothing. The male suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’8”-5’9”, wearing all black clothing. Later the same day, the vehicle was recovered in the 1900 block of Key Boulevard. The investigation is ongoing.
