Police are investigating a robbery at a business in the 3000 block of Washington Boulevard after a suspect allegedly attempted to pepper spray an employee and stole cigarettes.
Police said the man entered the business, went behind the counter and attempted to pepper spray an employee. He then allegedly stole cigarettes and fled in a dark-colored sedan.
No injuries were reported.
Police described the suspect as a Black male approximately 40 to 50 years old and 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with facial hair. He was reportedly wearing a black jacket, black shirt, gray shorts, black leggings and black shoes.
The investigation remains ongoing.
