At approximately 8:20 p.m. on September 4, an officer on proactive patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing several moving violations. As a result of the investigation, the driver was suspected of being under the influence and was taken into custody. During a search incident to arrest, a loaded firearm was recovered from the vehicle. Keith Hickson, 53, of La Plata, MD was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence and Carrying a Concealed Firearm while Under the Influence of Alcohol.
