Employee Threatened During Repeated Shoplifting Incident on Clarendon Boulevard

Arlington County police are investigating a robbery that stemmed from a series of alleged thefts at a business on Clarendon Boulevard.

According to police, the incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on July 9 when a man entered the business and allegedly removed merchandise without paying on four consecutive trips out of the store.

When an employee confronted the suspect, police said he threatened the employee before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with shoulder-length hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and gray sweatpants.

The investigation is ongoing.
