An assault involving a large group of juveniles is under investigation in the Pentagon City area.
Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of S. Hayes Street after receiving reports of an assault. Officers determined that a female victim was outside when she observed a group of approximately 20 juveniles. Some members of the group were reportedly pouring a beverage on another juvenile.
When the victim attempted to intervene, about five juveniles became aggressive and assaulted her. The suspects then fled into the Pentagon City Metro Station.
The victim sustained minor injuries but declined medical attention. The suspects are described as Black males and females between the ages of 13 and 15. The investigation is ongoing.
