Group Attack in Arlington Leaves Man Stabbed, Police Searching for Teens

ARLINGTON, VA — A Saturday night turned violent in the 4600 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive when a man was stabbed and robbed by a group of teens in what Arlington Police are calling a malicious wounding by mob.

It all started just after 10:30 p.m. on June 8. According to police, the victim was sitting in his parked car when five to six juvenile males approached, started yelling, and instigated a confrontation. Things escalated quickly. The man got out of his car, and a fight broke out. Some of the teens reportedly pulled out knives. One of them slipped into the man’s vehicle and stole his phone before the group ran off.

But the victim didn’t let it end there. He caught up with the group a short distance away and confronted them — a second altercation broke out. This time, the group physically assaulted him again, and one suspect struck him with a knife. He was left with a laceration and was later taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrived soon after and canvassed the area. They came up empty-handed until later that night, when officers spotted two individuals near S. Glebe Road and I-395 who matched the suspects’ descriptions. During a stop, officers found an airsoft gun and what appeared to be narcotics.

One teen was charged with Possession of Marijuana by a Person Under 21 and Carrying an Air Gun in Public. He was released on summons.

Police are still searching for the remaining suspects. They’re described as Black and Hispanic males, all teenagers, between 5’4” and 5’10”, and wearing face coverings.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Arlington County Police.
