A man was charged after allegedly firing a gun through the windshield of a moving vehicle near Columbia Pike and S. Dinwiddie Street.
Police responded to Inova Alexandria Hospital at approximately 9:45 p.m. for a delayed report of reckless handling of a firearm.
Investigators determined that a man riding in the front passenger seat of a vehicle with two other occupants allegedly discharged a firearm through the windshield while the vehicle was traveling in the area.
No injuries or property damage were reported. All three occupants went to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.
Farhan Thasin, 33, of Arlington, VA, was charged with reckless handling of a firearm and released on a summons.
