Juvenile Arrested After Reported Break-In Near 24th Street S. in Arlington VA

A juvenile is facing multiple charges following a reported unlawful entry and foot pursuit Sunday morning.

Police were dispatched to the 3200 block of 24th Street S. after a resident returned home and found damage to his door consistent with forced entry.

Officers arriving on scene observed several individuals exiting the apartment and running away. After a foot pursuit, officers detained one juvenile male suspect wearing a face mask near Drew Elementary School.

During the investigation, officers recovered suspected distribution quantities of narcotics and evidence of drug sales. The suspect also allegedly provided false identification information while in custody.

Petitions were obtained charging the juvenile with Unlawful Entry, Obstruction of Justice, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, Selling Drugs On/Near School Property, Giving False Identity to Law Enforcement, and Wearing a Mask in a Public Place. The investigation remains ongoing.
