Arlington County Police are investigating a robbery at a business on 15th Street North involving a suspect who allegedly displayed a knife while being confronted over merchandise.
According to police, a male suspect entered the business and concealed merchandise. An employee confronted him, leading to a struggle over a shopping basket.
During the confrontation, the suspect reportedly displayed a knife. The employee disengaged and contacted police while the suspect fled into the Metro system.
No injuries were reported.
Responding officers searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Police described the suspect as a Black male with a beard, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing a multicolored hoodie, black pants, a black jacket, and sunglasses.
The investigation remains ongoing.
