An early-morning carjacking in Arlington VA left one man injured after he was assaulted and robbed by two knife-wielding suspects.
Police responded to the 2300 block of S. Eads Street at approximately 2:32 a.m. for a report of a stolen vehicle. According to the investigation, the male victim was walking toward his parked Lincoln MKZ when he was confronted by two male suspects. Both suspects displayed knives and demanded his car keys.
The suspects forcibly knocked the victim to the ground and a struggle ensued. During the altercation, they stole the victim’s keys and cell phone before fleeing the scene in the stolen vehicle. Medics treated the victim on site for minor injuries.
Police recovered the victim’s phone but were unable to locate the suspects despite a canvass of the area. The suspects are described as two Black males, medium build, between 5’8” and 5’10”, weighing approximately 180-200 pounds. Both were dressed in all black and wore face coverings.
The vehicle is a Lincoln MKZ with Virginia plates. The investigation remains ongoing.
