At approximately 5:47 p.m. on July 18, police were dispatched to the report of a fight inside the food court. The preliminary investigation indicates two groups, all teenage juvenile males, were involved in a verbal dispute which escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, a suspect produced a knife and allegedly stabbed the victim. Responding officers provided medical assistance to the victim before medics transported him to an area hospital with injuries considered non-life threatening. One teenage juvenile male was taken into custody on scene and petitions were obtained for Assault by Mob. During the course of the investigation, a second juvenile was identified. He was taken into custody and a petition for Aggravated Malicious Wounding was obtained. The investigation is ongoing.
