MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 200 block of S. Glebe Road Arlington VA

At approximately 3:31 p.m. on December 19, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, it was determined that Suspects One and Two had allegedly entered the business, during which time Suspect Two had collected merchandise. Suspect One then exited the store followed by Suspect Two, who did not pay for the merchandise. As the suspects walked to their vehicle, an employee confronted them outside the business, and a struggle ensued over the merchandise. The employee brandished a knife and attempted to strike Suspect One. The employee also caused damage to the suspect’s vehicle with the knife. The two suspects then fled the scene on foot but were subsequently located in the area by responding officers and taken into custody. The employee remained on scene and was also taken into custody. Suspect One and the employee sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. Parvez Mostafa, 24, of Alexandria, Va., was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding and Destruction of Property. During the investigation, suspected narcotics were recovered from Suspect Two, who also provided officers with false personal identification information. Elijah Womack, 19, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Shoplifting, Possession of a  Schedule I/II Controlled Substance and Giving False Identity to a Law Enforcement Officer. Suspect One was determined to be wanted by a neighboring jurisdiction and was served with the outstanding warrants.
