At approximately 9:21 p.m. on May 13, police were dispatched to the report of a person with a gun. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was walking to his vehicle outside of a residential building when the male suspect, who is known to him, approached, and a verbal dispute ensued. The suspect then brandished a firearm and struck the victim with it before a struggle over the firearm occurred. A witness called the police, and the suspect subsequently fled the scene in a vehicle. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. Warrants for the suspect were obtained for Malicious Wounding, Brandishing and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. The investigation is ongoing.
