At approximately 10:34 p.m. on May 22, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with injury. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim and male suspect, who are known to each other, were outside when they became involved in a verbal dispute during which the suspect allegedly deployed pepper spray at the victim and assaulted him. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified and located in the 3600 block of Columbia Pike where he was subsequently taken into custody. Antoni Reyes Ramirez, 23, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding by Caustic Substance and Assault and Battery.
