At approximately 12:59 a.m. on May 22 police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was outside in the 900 block of S. Dinwiddie Street when 4-5 male suspects approached him, physically assaulted him and stole and undisclosed amount of cash. One of the suspects struck the victim with a bottle, causing a laceration. The victim ran from the scene and police were notified. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers conducted a canvass for the suspects yielding negative results. The suspects are described as Hispanic males in their mid-20s, wearing black clothing and black face coverings. The investigation is ongoing.
