Arlington County police responded to the 400 block of 23rd Street S. on August 20 after receiving a report of disorderly conduct outside a business.
Police said a man was allegedly acting disorderly when a responding officer contacted him and attempted to take him into custody. The man allegedly resisted the officer and attempted to strike them. Additional officers arrived and assisted in taking him into custody.
Medics evaluated the suspect for minor injuries that police said were sustained before officers arrived. He was released by medics at the scene.
Travis Robinson, 35, of Brambleton, VA, was arrested and charged with assault on police, obstruction of justice and public intoxication.
