Police are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins that took place early Thursday morning in the Pentagon City area.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Joyce Street around 5:02 a.m. on September 19 after receiving a report of property destruction. Upon arrival, they spoke with a witness who saw three juvenile suspects breaking into parked vehicles.
A total of nine vehicles were reportedly entered during the incident. In six of those cases, the suspects forced entry by either shattering a window or damaging the door handle. Although the interiors were rummaged through, no stolen items were reported by the vehicle owners.
The makes and models of the affected vehicles vary, and authorities are still working to gather surveillance footage and identify the suspects. No descriptions have been released at this time.
The Arlington County Police Department continues its investigation and encourages residents in the area to check their vehicles and report any suspicious activity.
