Green Valley Shooting Leaves Teen Injured; Suspects at Large

Arlington, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department is investigating a shooting in the Green Valley neighborhood that left a teenage boy seriously injured on the evening of November 16, 2024.

Police were alerted around 9:55 p.m. when the victim, a male in his teens, arrived at Virginia Hospital Center with a gunshot wound. Though his injuries are serious, they are not considered life-threatening. Investigators traced the incident back to the 3200 block of 24th Street S.

According to police, the teen was outside when two individuals approached him. A physical confrontation escalated, and one of the suspects fired a gun, striking the victim. Both suspects fled the scene before authorities arrived.
