Arlington Police Investigate Shooting on Richmond Highway

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit is actively investigating a shooting that occurred on Richmond Highway during the afternoon of June 19.

At approximately 2:06 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of 33rd Street S. and Richmond Highway. Preliminary findings indicate that the male victim was driving southbound in the 2600 block of Richmond Highway when a male suspect, driving a blue sedan, approached alongside the victim’s vehicle, brandished a firearm, and fired at the vehicle before fleeing northbound on Richmond Highway.
