ARLINGTON, Va. – Arlington police are investigating a shooting that left a teenage boy in critical condition and an adult man injured inside an apartment building in the Aurora Highlands neighborhood on the night of February 15.
Officers responded around 9:04 p.m. to a call about a shooting in the 1600 block of S. Eads Street. When they arrived, they found two victims—a juvenile male and an adult male—both suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics took them to the hospital, where the adult was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The teenager remains in critical but stable condition.
According to police, a verbal argument broke out in a hallway inside the residential building before a man pulled a gun and opened fire, hitting the two victims. The suspect fled before officers arrived, and a search of the area was unsuccessful.
Police describe the suspect as a Black male wearing black clothing. Authorities ask anyone with information to contact the Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit at 703-228-4180.
