At approximately 3:25 p.m. on April 23, an officer observed a parked, unoccupied stolen vehicle with an altered VIN and stolen tags in a parking garage. While officers were in the area, the two male suspects returned and entered the vehicle, during which a vehicle stop was initiated. Officers gave commands to the suspects, who were initially noncompliant and attempted to flee the scene in the vehicle by striking a police vehicle. The suspects subsequently exited the vehicle and were taken into custody. No officer injuries were reported. During the investigation, suspected narcotics and two firearms were recovered. Jalen Germany, 23, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Altered VIN, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and License Plate Violation. During the course of the investigation, it was determined Mr. Germany was wanted by the U.S. Marshal’s Service. Jeffery Queen, 23, of Washington, DC, was arrested and charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Schedule I/II Narcotics (x2), Possession of Schedule III/IV/V/VI Narcotics, Possession with Intent to Distribute and Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of Narcotics.
