At approximately 4:57 p.m. on July 8, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male suspect entered the business, concealed merchandise in bags and exited without payment. The suspect was confronted by two loss prevention personnel who attempted to detain him, during which a struggle ensued, and the suspect shoved one of the loss prevention personnel. The suspect dropped the stolen merchandise and fled on foot towards the Rosslyn Metro. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area, including the metro, yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male with a white t-shirt and black shorts. The investigation is ongoing.
