At approximately 10:39 a.m. on February 1, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and bagged the items at the self-checkout before attempting to exit the store without payment. An employee confronted the suspect during which he shoved the employee and made threatening statements towards them. The suspect then exited the store and fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a tan sweatshirt, black sweatpants and a face mask. The investigation is ongoing.
