At approximately 9:55 a.m. on August 29, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect entered the business, shoved an employee and proceeded to conceal cigarettes in a box before fleeing the scene on foot with the merchandise. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention at the scene. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a thin-build Black male, approximately 25-30 years old, approximately 5’10”-6’1”, wearing a black hoodie, gray t-shirt, black leggings and light-colored tennis shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
