At approximately 3:04 p.m. on November 12, a patrol officer was flagged down for the report of a robbery. The preliminary investigation indicates that the male suspect was inside a business when an employee observed him allegedly removing a tag from merchandise and confronted him. The suspect made threatening statements towards the employee before fleeing the scene on foot with the stolen merchandise. Responding officers located the suspect boarding a bus in the area and detained him without incident. The stolen merchandise was recovered. During the course of the investigation, the suspect provided officers with false personal identification information, and it was determined he was previously banned from the location he was arrested. Keith McDonald, 61, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Robbery, Giving False Identity to a Law Enforcement Officer, and Trespassing. He was held without bond.
