At approximately 7:21 a.m. on June 6, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and approached the counter inquiring about purchasing cigarettes. When the employee placed the cigarettes on the counter, the suspect grabbed the cigarettes as well as the other merchandise and exited the store without payment. When confronted by an employee outside of the business, the suspect pushed the employee before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a heavy-set Black male, approximately 55-60 years old, approximately 5’8”, with a bald head wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black shorts and a blue face covering. The investigation is ongoing.
