At approximately 2:39 p.m. on December 13, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered the business, allegedly concealed merchandise in a bag and walked towards the store’s exit without payment. When employees confronted the suspect, they implied a weapon and threatened the two employees before fleeing the scene. The suspect was identified during the investigation, and warrants were obtained for their arrest. On December 15, an officer observed the wanted suspect in the 200 block of N. Glebe Road and attempted to take them into custody. The suspect resisted arrest, and following a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was detained and transported to a local area hospital for evaluation. James Freeman, 39, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Robbery (x2) and Obstruction of Justice. They were held without bond.
