At approximately 11:42 a.m. on May 11, police were dispatched to a 9-1-1 call. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim parked and was exiting his vehicle when the suspect vehicle pulled up behind his vehicle and three male suspects exited. Two suspects brandished firearms and demanded the victim’s jewelry while the third suspect rummaged through the victim’s vehicle. The suspects subsequently fled the scene in their vehicle, described as a blue sedan, with stolen cash and credit cards. No injuries were reported. While fleeing the area southbound on Lorcom Lane, the suspect vehicle drove on the wrong side of the roadway and struck a bicyclist in the area N. Fillmore Street. The bicyclist sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The suspect vehicle then entered northbound I-395 in the area of the 14th Street Bridge during which the suspect vehicle struck an occupied vehicle and fled into Washington, DC. The driver of the struck vehicle did not sustain any injuries. The suspects are described as thin-built Black males in their late teens, approximately 5’6”-5’8”, wearing all dark clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
