At approximately 9:56 a.m. on August 24, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect entered the business and placed merchandise in an aisle. An employee recognized the suspect as having previously stolen from the business and took the merchandise to the register. The suspect became irate and subsequently struck the employee before fleeing the scene on foot with the merchandise. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a thin-build Black male, approximately 25-30 years old, with short black hair, black facial hair, wearing a green hoodie, black pants, white shoes and carrying a red bag. The investigation is ongoing.
