At approximately 6:38 p.m. on August 22, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, concealed merchandise and attempted to purchase other merchandise during which an employee confronted him. The suspect then made threatening statements towards the employee before exiting the store and fleeing the scene on foot into the Ballston Metro. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a Black male carrying a red and gray backpack. The investigation is ongoing.
