At approximately 9:39 p.m. on September 21, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male suspect entered the business and approached the counter inquiring about merchandise. The suspect then allegedly jumped over the counter, stole merchandise and made threatening statements towards an employee before fleeing the scene on foot. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area of Fairfax Drive and N. Nelson Street and detained him. During the course of the investigation, stolen merchandise was recovered. Maliek Young, 27, of Bowie, MD was arrested and charged with Robbery.
