At approximately 11:06 p.m. on April 27, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was outside when she was approached by the male suspect who demanded her cell phones. The victim refused during which the suspect forcibly removed them from her hand and fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. During the course of the investigation, both phones were recovered. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, wearing a pink shirt, khaki pants and white shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
