At approximately 12:39 p.m. on June 3, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect allegedly entered the store, concealed merchandise and attempted to leave the business, during which he was confronted by loss prevention personnel. The suspect then shoved them, exited the store and fled the scene on foot. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located the suspect on a bus in the area of the 900 block of N. Stuart Street and took him into custody. During a search of the suspect incident to arrest, suspected narcotics were recovered. Maurice Travers, 40, of Washington, DC was arrested and charged with Robbery and Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance.
