Arlington County police are investigating a robbery that occurred along Columbia Pike Thursday evening. According to authorities, a man was walking in the area when he was approached by three suspects who began speaking with him before allegedly assaulting and robbing him of cash and cards.
During the incident, one of the suspects reportedly displayed what appeared to be a box cutter and made threatening statements. The suspects then fled the area on foot before officers arrived.
Police said the victim was not injured. Officers searched the surrounding neighborhood but were unable to locate the suspects.
All three suspects were described as Hispanic males between approximately 5’5” and 5’8” tall with black hair and brown eyes. One suspect was reportedly wearing a black shirt and gray pants, another a black sweater and black pants, and the third a blue jacket with blue pants.
The investigation remains ongoing.
