Arlington County Police arrested a man following a robbery at a business in the 1000 block of South Glebe Road on Thursday evening.
According to police, the suspect allegedly entered the business, stole a cell phone, and brandished what appeared to be a knife before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Officers broadcast a description of the suspect and located an individual matching that description near Columbia Pike and South Monroe Street. Police say the suspect threw the stolen cell phone while being taken into custody, causing damage to the property.
Jason Cornejo, 35, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with robbery and destruction of property.
