At approximately 11:02 a.m. on May 31, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was walking in the area when the male suspect approached, stole his jewelry and an undisclosed amount of cash and stabbed the victim with a knife before fleeing the scene on foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Responding officers established a perimeter, and the area was searched with the assistance of a police helicopter. The suspect was not located. The suspect is described as a Black male in his mid-20s, approximately 5’10” tall, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
